This WORKSHOP SERIES is built on The SEVEN PRINICPLES of MAKING MARRIAGE WORK by Dr. John Gottman and teaches RELATIONAL LIFE SKILLS created by Terry Real. This is an experiential workshop series facilitated in a seminar type style where 5 couples come together to learn how to strengthen their relationship in a variety of ways by increasing communication, connection, mutual admiration, intimacy and to learn skills to manage conflict and repair ruptures. It will help couples to know each other better, build trust, create shared and meaning gains in their life. It will also include follow up support to help maintain the gains made.

WORKSHOP SERIES: WHAT TO EXPECT

This WORKSHOP SERIES is built on The SEVEN PRINICPLES of MAKING MARRIAGE WORK by Dr. John Gottman and teaches RELATIONAL LIFE SKILLS created by Terry Real. This is an experiential workshop series facilitated in a seminar type style where 5 couples come together to learn how to strengthen their relationship in a variety of ways by increasing communication, connection, mutual admiration, intimacy and to learn skills to manage conflict and repair ruptures. It will help couples to know each other better, build trust, create shared and meaning gains in their life. It will also include follow up support to help maintain the gains made.

Suzanne and Barbara will be coaching and training couples on how to become more relational as opposed to providing psychotherapy. Couples will be provided a Companion Workbook so each partner can make notes and complete exercises together. Couples will work privately together in a comfortable atmosphere and will not have to share their conversations in front of the group.

This Workshop Series is offered on two days July 6 and August 17 from 1-4 pm for a total of eight hours.

Optional follow up sessions will be offered in the fall.

FEES AND PAYMENT

COST PER COUPLE: $199 or FARLY BIRD $180 (by June 21, 2024) PLUS HST.

ABOUT US

Suzanne Zook-Johnston, RP, MA, DMFT has her doctoral degree in Marriage and Family Therapy and has 28 years of clinical experience working with couples as they adjust, grow and change. She is the Clinical Director of the Niagara Relationship Health Center, an adjunct professor at Niagara University and a Registered Psychotherapist at Brock University.

Barbara Anderson, MSW is a long term Couples Therapist and a certified Gottman Seven Principles Program Educator. Barbara is also a certified Terry Real Relational Life Therapist. Barbara has worked with hundreds of couples and is an experienced educator who has taught students and couples for many years in her private practice.
